Artist Statement

In a culture saturated with flattened ideas of women, I use image and material to operate together to produce intimacy without spectacle, allowing the feminine to be both felt and witnessed.

Acupuncturist and Herbalist

Working in abolitionist and community settings that serve those enduring chronic and systemic trauma.

  • Private Practice — Emeryville, CA | 2018–Present

Operate an independent acupuncture and herbal medicine practice focused on chronic illness and PTSD. Own and operate Rose and Remedy, a medicinal herbal company making small batch aromatherapies and bone broths.

  • Anti Police Terror Project (APTP) — Oakland, CA | 2022–Present

    Provide trauma-informed acupuncture and herbal care through an abolitionist organization that offers direct support, political education, and wellness for communities impacted by state violence.

    Co-founder and co-director of The People’s Clinic, a free community clinic providing accessible, holistic healthcare care for those impacted by police and state terror, hosted at the Anti Police Terror Project.

  • CURYJ (Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice) — Oakland, CA | 2021–Present

    Offer acupuncture and herbal medicine for youth and adults impacted by incarceration and systemic oppression.

  • Roots Community Health Center — East Oakland, CA | 2020–Present

    Provide holistic and integrative care to low-income and unhoused populations at a community health center focused on wellness and empowerment.

  • The Underground Scholars, UC Berkeley — Berkeley, CA | 2022–Present

    Offer acupuncture and wellness support to system-impacted and formerly incarcerated students.

    The organization builds a prison-to-university pipeline through recruitment, retention, advocacy, wellness, and career services.

  • Medspire Clinic — Paradise, CA | 2018–2020

    Provided acupuncture and herbal medicine alongside Western medical providers to those directly impacted by the 2018 Camp Fire.

  • St. Vincent de Paul Free Clinic — Oakland, CA | 2017–2018

    Co-founded and operated a community acupuncture clinic serving unhoused Oakland residents.
